What we store, and what we don't
Plain language, no legalese. VOUS handles health information, so we keep the data we hold to a minimum and make it easy to delete.
If you don't have an account
Your profile, history, and tracking live only in your browser (local storage). They never reach our servers except in the moment you run an intake or comparison, when the relevant details are sent to generate your results and are not retained afterward.
If you create an account
Signing in lets your profile, analysis history, and symptom tracking sync across your devices. To do that, we store them in our database, tied to your account. This includes the health details you choose to enter, medications, conditions, symptoms. We store them only to personalize your results, never to sell or share.
Every row is protected by row-level security: your data is readable only by you. Sign-in is handled by Supabase; if you use Google, we never see or store a password.
Anonymous community data
When you report whether something helped, or when a topic is searched, we record it without any link to your identity, just the topic, the outcome, and a coarse region if you set one. This powers the trends dashboard. It cannot be traced back to you.
What we send to third parties
To produce an analysis, your description and profile context are sent to Anthropic (the AI model) and to a search provider for evidence lookup. They process it to return results; we don't use these services to build a profile of you.
Your control
You can delete your account and everything attached to it at any time from your profile (“Delete my account and data”). It is immediate and permanent, profile, history, and tracking are all removed.
Not medical advice
VOUS is for education only and is not a medical provider. Nothing here is a diagnosis or treatment. Always work with a qualified practitioner before making health decisions.
